Hello Elizabeth I would like to email you in regards of the family tree that you have placed on the net about Henry Vernon and John Crute Vernon . John Crute Vernon did not marry Elizabeth Pulham she married John Vernon the second son of Henry as Henry and Ann Cock arrived in Australia with their four sons, I do find that there is quite a number of mistakes in this tree Henry Vernon and John Crute Vernon were cousins.

From the Argus, Fri 27 Apr 1855, Page 4, column 1, arrived 25 April, at Hobson's Bay, Gipsy Queen, barque, 840 tons, Charles Barras, from London via Plymouth 13th January. Passengers - Cabin mr and Mrs Trver and chiild, mr and Mrs Mills and family, Mrs Smith, Mrs Luff and family, Messrs McGelvin, Thompson, White, Dr Hands; and 166 in the steerage. Balfour, Down and Co, Agents.
Further down the first column is the comment "The Commander of the Gipsy Queen, Captain Barras, spoke the ship St Lewis of zboston, from Geelong to Calcutta, on the 20th April, in lat. 38" 46', long, 140 ' East; out 8 days.
The cargo of the Gypsy Queen is for Sydney.

On Sat 28 Apr this Advertisement appeared on Page 1 of the Argus -
Arrival of the Gipsy Queen. We are deputed by the Passengers of the above barque, to express out Thanks to Charles Barras, Commander, for his kind and courteous conduct towards them during the voyage. Signed T Newberry, H White, A Taylor

The Gipsy Queen arrived yesterday from Melbourne, where she called for the purpose of landing a large number of her passengers, but the whole of the cargo is for this port. Her passage from Melbourne was protracted in conswquence of the light baffling winds that have prevailed lately.
