The death of Mr. Harry Tubb, the father of four soldiers, occurred at Longwood (Victoria) last week. Mr. Tubb had been in ill-health for some time. He was a grazier, but in his early career was head master of the State School at Longwood. He leaves a widow, and family of well-known sons and daughters. The sons include Major F. H. Tubb, V.C. (killed in action); Capt. F. Tubb, M.C. (wounded) ; and Sapper C. Tubb (returned ill). Mr. Tubb was 68 years of age.

My friend is the daughter of Evelyn's daughter Ann Grant Allan. I met Evelyn, briefly, in 1984 shortly before she died.
