Dear Elizabeth,
I have your Henry Rowe Sainsbury 1880 #15006 who married on 04/07/1915 to my great aunt Annie Chandlier at Christ Church, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia
I think Annie was born at Horsham in Victoria in c.1881
The only problem is that I have your Henry as 'Harry' but that is not an unusual confusion with that name.

From the wedding certificate,
Ann Chandler was the daughter of Sarah Johnson and Thomas Chandler. Thomas Chandler was the son of Elizabeth unknown and Samuel Chandler.
It is possible that Elizabeth's surname was Carter, they wed 1846 and came to Portland in Dec 1852 on the Marmion - Samuel Chandler aged 27, Elizabeth Chandler 23, William Chandler 6, Samuel Chandler 3, Caleb Chandler 2 and George Chandler infant

Received 16 Sep 2010 - Birth Certificates of 4 daughters.
Fanny's Birth Certificate shows she was born 14 Dec 1864, at Waragun near Dunkeld, by her mother who signed with her Mark, on 21 March 1865. Her father is a Bullock Driver, and her siblings are William 19, Samuel 16, James 11, Susan 8, Esther 7, Thomas 5, Alfred 2, and Caleb and George both dead.
On 16 Oct 1867 Samuel Chandler registered twin daughters born on 14 Oct 1867, and died the same day. William is now aged 21, Susan is Susannah and Fanny is aged 2.
The certificate of the last registered child has some extra details - Emily was registered on 11 Jan 1870, at Penshurst by her father, a Carrier, who signed his name, she was born 5 Sep 1869 with 7 living siblings, her father Samuel was aged 44, born at Arlington, Bedfordshire, and he wed Sep 1847 in Arlington to Elizabeth Carter now aged 41, born at Westoning, Bedfordshire, family now living at Lake Linlithgow. Siblings are (ages Jan 1870) Samuel 21, James 16, Annie 14, Esther 13, Thomas 10, Alfred 8 and Fanny 5.

As William is not in the family group when Emily was registered, looks like he left home, got married, only 2 registered -
William Chandler wed 1864 #189 to Elizabeth Hetherton William Devonshire Chandler wed 1865 #121 to Eliza Maria Mitchell - this William died 1896 aged 67, too old to be son of Samuel

http://www.jdmforum.com/car-talk/2384-cell-phone-pics-10.html Hello Elizabeth I’m a descendant of John Cruthers and thought I’d let you know about one of his children who is not included in your list.
John and Theresa’s second child, Margaret, (possibly named in honour of Theresa’s mother) was born at Strangways in 1857 but it appears that her birth was not civilly registered. In 1876 she married Alfred George Sainsbury (1856 – 1920) and they had eight children. One of these was Herbert William Sainsbury (1880 – 1931), and Herbert’s son Alan Roderick Sainsbury (1911 – 1968) was my father.
Alfred George Sainsbury was born in Victoria to parents John and Lucy from Wiltshire, and back in time they may have been related to the Sainsbury grocery family well-known in the UK. Alfred Sainsbury was a policeman and eventually rose to the highest post as Chief Commissioner in Victoria (1913 – 1920). Apparently he was very well respected in this position, although he did not care to have cars or women used in the force. Times have changed! Let me know if you’d like copies of any documentation – births, deaths, marriage certificates, newspaper cuttings and so on.
