James Herbert Simpson

From on Mon, 27 Dec 2004
Hi Elizabeth
I'm Leah and live in Perth. I just wanted to thank you for your website - I am tracing the SIMPSON family and was able to find a few tidbits on your site. I am descended from an Emma Simpson whose brother James Herbert Simpson is mentioned. His son Thomas William married Minnie Worthy and I did not have that information, nor their children's names.
Thanks so much for your information.
Cheers, Leah

Tobias Purcell Simpson

From on Friday, 24 May 2013
Hi Elizabeth, I`m helping my friend Alan Simpson do his family tree and found your site, it is a little incorrect.
James Herbert Simpson's son is the wrong Thomas William Simpson (see above)
Thomas William Simpson is the son of Tobias Purcell Simpson ( Purcell is his mum`s maiden name) and Clara Elizabeth Hosler. and Thomas William was born in Balmain NSW in 1884 he married Minnie Worthy in 1912 in Victoria. You have the children from this marriage correct but he is not the son of James Herbert Simpson. Regards Brenda.

Dear Elizabeth, I have been researching the SIMS family of Ballarat for many years.
In particular I have been looking for any marriage or death records of my Great Aunt : Roberta Kate SIMS born in 1879 to Robert SIMS and Ell (nee Ball) The family resided in Ballarat where Robert died in 1895 (Roberta was then alive and aged 16 years)
I am descended from Doris Rita May SIMS daughter of Charles Braddock Sims and Caroline (Gladstone). I notice you have reference to my Aunt Ella Sims.
I have some photography and many certificates of the SIMS family and would love to contact anyone else interested in this or the Gladstone line.
In appreciation of your kind consideration, Anthea Augustson
