James Seamer

From on Fri, 23 Nov 2007

Hi, My grandfather was Thomas Ernest Seamer (born 1893).
I am rather new to genealology, but received a document from family that shows. James Seamer, married Catherine Sarah Cornwall in 1854 at St Matthews, Bethnal, England
Left England on "Queen of the seas" 1854 trip took six months arrived Melbourne but didn't like it so went to Bendigo by Bullock Wagon then to Huntley (left 1870) then to Sebastian.
Other information indicates that the voyage was maiden & went direct to Melbourne. Your reference to Tasmania doesn't fit with the above/ Seeking your assistance. Thank You.
