Thanks for all the hard work that you have done on the Pioneer Families in Victoria Site. It truly is most appreciated. In case you are interested, do you realise that Thomas Redfern came out to Australia because his sister, Emma, and her husband, John Washington, came out? They all lived in Maryborough, Victoria for years and years (to the point that the family stayed there in various generations until at least 1926).
Thankyou. I have no notes on John Washington, but have found Emma Washington aged 23 came Mar 1855 on the Lightning. What is the date of birth for her brother Thomas?

The children of Nicholas Hutchens and Mary were Four of the six children of Nicholas and Mary Hutchens who survived infancy emigrated to South Australia. The two that did not were Nicholas (1799), who apparently died unmarried, and John (1803), The four who emigrated to South Australia were William (1795 wed Mary Rowe in St Levan on 17/10/1827 and came to SA on the Waterloo in 1840), Betsy (wed Enoch Tonkin) and Nancy (1801 wed James Tonkin), and Phillis (1805 wed William Trenowth on 15/4/1826 and came to SA on the Lady McDonald, which left Plymouth on 15/12/1854 and arrived at Port Adelaide on 7/4/1855). I am tracing the Reed Family. Esther Harriet Cath Reed is my Great Grandfathers sister. I was interested to see on your site there is a Leslie Reed listed this name has appeared to now have been used for 3 generations that I know of. Do you have much information on this side of your tree regarding my connection. I am particular interested in grave sites at the moment. I am more than happy to forward the information I have on Esther and her family.
