THE SHIP V DUKE OF WELLINGTON.'. RETURN /)F A. L. ELDER, ESQ.
This much-e8teernftd colonist, AL Elder, Esq., arrived yesterday in the ship Duke of Wellington, after a most favourable passage of 9 1 days All the passengers have - landed in health ; not a death occurred, and the onginal number was increased by one birth on board. The passengers appear much pleased with the commander, officers, and crew; but especially with Capt. R. M. Miller, whose unwearied assiduity and solicitude for their welfare would scarcely permit a single hour's relaxation from the care oT the ship during the' whole voyage; nor did they less appreciate the gentlemanly demeanour and Christian deportment he consistently maintained. At all times, "blow high or low # they felt assured the Master would be found at the post, of duty; and, indeed, to his unremitting exertions, is to be attributed, in no small degree, the rapidity and safety of the voyage.
