He was my great great grandfather. My Great grandfather was his son George who I never knew as he died before I was born. My grandmother was his daughter  Daisy Hemley. My mother (turning 90 this year) was Daisy’s oldest daughter Winnifred Marx (Now Clark). She is one of the few of that generation left and the only one of her family.   I was born in 1949 and live in Ballarat. It is amazing to think we have so many relatives that all descended from from George and Elizabeth. My daughter discovered this story on the internet. Have you done a complete history? A cousin of mum’s in Bendigo has done quite a comprehensive Hemley history  but not not sure just how much.   Kind regards   Karen Neil kneil@giant.net.au
