Passengers-cabin : Mrs. Aiken and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie, Mr. and Mrs. Hutley, Miss Moffatt, Messrs. Dalton (2), W. A. Buckland, T. G. Walker, and four hundred and twenty-five in the intermediate and steerage. G. F. Train and Co., agents.
Captain Robertson, of the Shalimar, has obliged us with papers containing English news down to the 23rd of November, on tho morning of which day he left the Mersey, bound to this port with up wards of four hundred and twenty five passengers onboard The shalimar is a new ship belonging to the White Star Line, and intended to run from Liverpool to Port Phillip, under the command of Captain Robertson, who, on his first visit to these colonies, has had the gratification of bring ing intelligence from home of the most important and interesting nature. Com plimentary addresses to commanders of vessel have, we are glad to find been of late very common from the passengers, and we have no doubt but that Capt Robertson fully deserves the flattering testimonial of thanks conveyed to him by the first cabin passengers on this his maiden ttrp to Australia

Source NSW Assisted Immigrants. Has full shipping list, Emily and children are on Page 9, as one of 4 wives of Residents in the Colony. There were 70 husbands, 70 wives, 109 single men, 121 single women (includes Emily), 23 m and 16 f aged 7 to 14, 20 m and 29f aged 1 and under 7, and 8m and 9f under 1 year, total 475 souls. 3 males were born during the voyage. Master is WB Skene, Surgeon Edward Kearney, tonnage 1440.

The Boanerges, with 470 immigrants, has made the passage from Liverpool in 99 days. There have been three deaths (children) and six births during the passage; but, although scarlet fever made its appearance, no deaths occurred from that or any other contagious disease. She has been placed in quarantine by the Health Officer for a few days, to allow the vessel to be thoroughly cleaned. The John Bunyan, from Liverpool to Sydney July 11, was spoken.
