Towler Eagle and Mary Ollett had their first child at Hilgay - William in 1812, and the other known children, Sarah in 1821 and Ellen on 14 April 1833 were both born at Pentney, Norfolk.
Ellen Eagle and James Wilson gave their 6th child (the other twin died) the second name Towler, after Ellen's father.

The 31 March 1851 census for Pentney - Film 1828 Section 245, Page 32 lists at 113 Alderberry Cottage, Towler Eagle aged 68, farm labourer and Mary aged 62, his wife. I traced one Towler Eagle who died at Freebridge Lynne in the second quarter 1864 aged 79 years approx. The IGI suggests a different death date. More records to be checked!

Another entry on Page 33, Parish Claim is William Eagle aged 39 working as a 'Maltster G Porter', Elizabeth aged 38, his wife, and George 18, William 16, Robert 13, Maria 6, Joseph 4, James 2, Maria 11 and Isaac 9. Maria aged 6 appears to be a visitor (see below for IGI family list).

Sarah Eagle married George and Ellen EAGLE married James Wilson and both families migrated to Australia.
These details were discovered over 4 trips to London from Reading, on 19 Dec and 23 Dec 1978 then on 3 Jan and 12 Jan 1979 when I visited St Catherine's House to get the James and Ellen Wilson marriage certificate, the Society Genealogists to find the IGI entries, and the Census records at the Lands Dept.

On 8 January 2000, I used the IGI at www.familysearch.org, and obtained their ideas about my discoveries.

All the English cousins are in Norfolk, England.
Of course, some of the new material has raised extra problems, and is providing more questions to be followed up.

Generation Six is fascinating. After 4 generations where the only known son has one surviving son, Generation 5 produces 2 sons and 2 daughters, who provide 33 grandchildren, including 8 surviving grandsons with the surname Eagle.
