Reported in Sydney Morning Herald, Fri 31 July, 1857, arrived July 30.- Alloe, ship, 1057 tons, Captain Ferguson, from Liverpool 14th April. Passengers - 402 Government immigrants. Dr.Carroll, surgeon superintendent. Brierley, Dean, and Co. agents.
Extra note - The Alloe, from Liverpool, anchored below the Sow and Pigs, last night, but having sickness on board, the manifest could not be furnished. There have been several deaths during the passage, but full particulars cannot be obtained until after the health officer has boarded her. Her cargo consists of salt, coals, and railway iron.
