From on Wednesday, 30 September, 2009
Hello,
Harriet Owen Llewellyn was my great aunt. She was married to William Durran (Uncle Will) and we called her Auntie Het or Hetti.
She was a bit of a mystery to us because she was known as a Grinter – but now I have found your entry and realize it was the name of her mother’s second husband. Thankyou.
I do have a photo of Will and Hettie. They had no children – she always claimed that you couldn’t have dresses and children too, but perhaps there was more to it. Uncle Will, in particular seemed to love us little ones.
If you would like to know anything else, I may be able to help. I particularly have the Durran family history.
Cheers, Merrill
