Sailed to Australia The Buckinghamshire, 1468 tons, with William MOOR Commander, left London, December 1, 1838 to sail to Adelaide, South Australia, arrived 21 March 1839 with 497 passengers.
She brought Mr Crowhurst, Henry Crowhurst and Susan Crowhurst. Another list includes 3 chn, who could be George Crowhurst Chr 16 Aug 1835, Henry Crowhurst Chr 12 Feb 1837 and Frederick Crowhurst Chr 26 Aug 1838 all at Leigh, Kent, UK, where Henry Crowhurst wed 9 May 1835 to Susan Turner. Henry Crowhurst chr 12 Feb 1815 son of Lucy and Stephen Crowhurst, at Leigh, Kent, UK

This opens a new idea - is Susan the link between the two families?

The Buckinghamshire was the 14th vessel to arrive in 1839, is mentioned in EAD Opie, South Australian records Prior to 1841, see Manifests & passenger lists 1838-42 GRG 41/8, also 'Southern Australian' 4 Aug 1838 to 28 Nov 1845
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/1194/emigc.html lists arrivals including 'CROWHURST: Henry - 21 Mar 1839 and wife and 3 child/ren'.
That record is from South Australian Assisted Passengers 1836-1841
The very first era of migration to South Australia is probably the best documented even though many passenger lists have been lost.
The South Australians who arrived in the colony 1836 to 1841 as assisted passengers all had their details recorded in the 'Register of Emigrant Labourers Applying for Free Passage', which survives in the PRO Kew, England.
Astute work by Pat Button who realised that the allocated embarkation numbers were in rough alphabetical sequence for each migrant ship has allowed the compilation of passenger lists for all the emigrant vessels of the period. The accuracy of this exercise has been thoroughly tested against the surviving passenger lists.

Henry Crowhurst 1815 - 1881 aged 66, and Susan Turner came to South Australia, arrived during the week before March 30, 1839. The first Henry and William are in the South Australian birth records.
