Jane Benallack and her three brothers, John Francis, George and Stephen Benallack appear to have come together from England. I could not find deaths of John Francis or Stephen.

A morning spent at the web page http://www.familysearch.net/Eng/ has given some ideas, and questioned more. For example the family appears to have been Wesleyan until about 1828, and then went back to the Church of England (and the children were Christened 'properly').

Hello Elizabeth,
WE have communicated earlier re SPOKES.
John Francis Benallack's death is entered in the Pioneers Index Victoria 1836-1888 as
Surname: BENDALLICK, Given Names: John Francis
Event: D, Spouse Surname/Father: U, Age: 50, Year: 1878, Reg Number: 5266
.......
Also, Stephen has notices in Missing persons section of the Argus newspaper, in 1853 looking for his brother John F. (Found this in members only section of the GSV site - from the Marion Button Index to Missing persons.
J.F. and his wife Elizabeth ran a store, then a hotel at Nuggety Hill, Fryerstown.
The remains of what was a 2 storey stone, brick & timber building when the hotel was de-licensed in 1911 have been found under an enormous fallen branch from a gum tree and a jungle of blackberries. The present owners of the land are excavating what is still there with a view to preservation.
