Hi, I have been looking at your reference to the Bowley family from Creswick.
E.A. Bowley's 2nd child, Ann Bowley although not married had a son Charles Curtis Bowley 1871 #15547, raised as E.A.'S son.
C.C.Bowley is my great grandfather he had 4 children, Raymond Charles Bowley, his only son, my grandfather, had 5 daughters and 2 sons, my mother, Marjorie is his eldest child still living at 82, she has great knowledge of the family.

My G-Grandfather the youngest son of Samuel Nicholls and Elizabeth Pryor/Prior also came to Australia, arriving with his family in 1889, he settled in Ballarat.

My 'cousin' Jan Wood in England has been helping with our Nicholls research and just recently we discovered that Robert Box (who arrived in Victoria with his children in 1858) was the husband of William, Samuel and Joseph's eldest sister Jane Pryor/Prior Nicholls. This of course means that there are descendants of four branches of Samuel and Elizabeth's family living in Australia.

Samuel and Elizabeth had
William, Samuel and Joseph who each came to Victoria
eldest daughter Jane Pryor/Prior Nicholls who wed Robert Box and came to Victoria
John who lived at times in both Devon and Wales,
Phillip who was an Innkeeper at Melindwr, Wales,
Elizabeth who married and lived at Tavistock
and Mary Ann who married and went to South Africa with her husband and son.

Hi Elizabeth My husband is a descendant of James Jones brother to Elizabeth Jones Boyd.
I have done a lot of research on the families from Porepunkah related to James Jones (Westons Boyds) Elizabeth had another brother called William also killed by a horse fall 15 yrs before James. There was another sister Margaret who married into Weston family..not sure if there are more siblings
James was killed when he fell from his horse - Death Cert - James Jones aged 41, died Oct 1879 so born c1838, son of George Jones and Margaret McConnell, born in Armagh, Ireland,
in Colony 17 years (so came aged about 24, in 1862) - This means in Victoria, not necessarially when came to Australia - wed 1866 died 1879, 13 years of marriage
wed when 28 years old, to Jane Hughes, Chn Margaret Jane, William 10, Isaac Hughes, George 7, John 5, Samuel 3, Joseph 1 - and Jemima born in early 1880
