I have some information for your John Bevan family; Patty Bletsoa Bevan died 23.4.1917. John and Patty Bletsoa Bevan had a fourth child Winifred Littlewood Bevan born 1890 - 1992 Age 102. Winifred married Serbre Le Lievre, they had no children. Winifred's ashes are buried in her parents grave at Warricknabeal. John and Patty Bevan are my great-grandparents,

I do not know if you were aware, but Ann Williams was an Irish Orphan Girl who came to Queensland on the Pemberton I think it was in 1849. She is listed on the Passenger List in the book "Barefoot & Pregnant". I do not think she was pregnant.

The ship Reliance arrived Port Adelaide on 13-09-1851. Passengers include: Dr J. Robertson (Surgeon Superintendent) - cabin, Captain H.B. Fell tried the system of great circle sailing on the passage out to this colony. They left Plymouth on 10 June 1851 and took 93 days to reach Adelaide.
On July 10th they reached the Brazil Coast, near Pernambuco

Stephen Bickford 1827 - 1902 and his brother Joseph Chadder Bickford arrived in South Australia on Board the 'Reliance' on September 14 1851. They gave their occupations as Farm laborers. Stephen and his wife Hanna Sawle 1833 - 1895, and young family moved to Melbourne approx 1870. At some stage, Joseph also moved to Melbourne.
Joseph Bickford 1830 - 1890, wed in 1877 to his second wife, Olive Emily Smith after the death of his first wife Sarah Ann Luckham 1825 - 1876. Joseph and Olive had one child, Olive Ann Bickford in 1878. Olive Ann married James Shovelton in 1908. Of Joseph's other children, only Henry James Bickford survived to adulthood. Olive Emily passed away in 1932 in Euroa.

From the FirstFamilies2001 entry, "In 1844 James Moysey and his cousin Nicholas Bickford (christened 18 Oct 1822 son of Ann Whiteway and John Bickford at Modbury, Devon, England, wed 1848 to Jane Pearce Wills), took a lease on 5 square miles (3,200 acres) of bush on Port Phillip Bay and called it Beaumaris Run, which they farmed. This area is still called Beaumaris today. In 1849 Nicholas moved on and the lease was reduced to 640 acres (1 sq. mile). In 1852 James purchased the freehold on 80 acres of this land to raise his family of 9 children for 1 pound 1 shilling per acre. In 1881 the family sold up and moved to Narre Warren. James and Susannah are buried at the Old Cheltenham Cemetery, which is on the original Beaumaris Run."
